Meet Marissa: Bringing Fresh Ideas and Strategy to Alive Events & Marketing

Marissa, Alive’s marketing intern, is our  go-to for turning ideas into thoughtful strategies and creative content. She brings a calm, focused energy to the team, along with a love for design, smart content, and helping brands tell their story in ways that connect.


We wanted to go beyond the job title and get to know the person behind the work. Here’s a little Q&A to help you meet Marissa on a more personal level.



Morning or Night Person?

I’m a morning person through and through. My day usually starts with an iced latte, vanilla if I’m keeping it simple, or vanilla and caramel when I want something extra. 

How do you rest after a long week?

Sundays are my favorite reset: breakfast or brunch with friends, a walk, then catching up on laundry, cleaning, and sometimes mass to round out the week. When I need some downtime, I like to keep things familiar and comforting, usually by rewatching Grey’s Anatomy or How I Met Your Mother.


How do you get in the zone when you have a big task to accomplish? 

I put in my headphones and tune into a Spotify playlist. It usually leans mellow, with slow country from artists like Zach Bryan and Tyler Childers.


How Marissa landed at Alive:

Marissa didn’t start in marketing, in fact, her career path took a major turn. “I started in exercise science and hated it,” she laughs. “A friend invited me to a marketing mixer, and I loved it. I took a few marketing and consumer behavior classes and knew I had to make the switch.” 


Since joining Alive, she’s learned just how independent and self-sufficient she can be. She’s taken on projects from concept to execution and enjoys the variety the work brings. One of her favorite behind-the-scenes moments is turning something as simple as a photo into a graphic that makes it pop.


“I love taking an ordinary photo and making it come to life,” she says.


When it comes to inspiration, she looks to brands like Ilia for their authentic, clean approach to social media. Lately, she’s been especially interested in product placement and exploring the 4 P’s of marketing, product, price, place, and promotion, and how they work together to position a brand for success.


Marissa’s mix of strategic thinking, creative execution, and ability to adapt makes her a special part of the Alive team. Whether she’s building out a campaign, crafting a social post, or turning a static image into something dynamic, she’s helping Alive’s clients stand out and she’s doing it with a steady hand and an eye for the details that matter.
